Book Trolley

Currently 7% of residents on the Aylesbury estate are aged over 65 and many live alone, we hope that this monthly visit from the book trolley will help people to feel connected and part of the community.

Creation Trust has set up a book borrowing service, that delivers books straight to elderly people living on the estate.
Our lovely blue book trolley will go door to door to the homes of residents who have problems getting out of the house. The trolley will visit any resident who requests the service; that could be someone with a disability, or caring responsibilities or elderly residents, any situation that makes it a struggle to get out and about.
The book trolley will visit homes every three weeks and residents can borrow up to five books at a time and keep them for as long as they want. Not only can they access books, but the book trolley team, who are all Aylesbury residents themselves, have time to stop and chat.
