Youth Work
One of Creation’s key priorities is to support residents aged between 14-19, to unlock their potential by obtaining new skills, increasing their confidence and developing a sense of community. We fund a Sports and Arts progamme and The Aylesbury Push project that provides tuition for GCSE students in English, Science and Maths and takes direct referrals from Walworth and Globe academies as the scheme is funded by ARK schools.
We fund InSpire and London Active Communities to deliver our youth work. It has been recognised again and again that the diversionary activities for young people delivered in partnership have had a major impact in reducing anti social behaviour, improving educational standards and reducing the fear of crime from older residents. As well as giving young people the skills and confidence they need to make positive decisions about their lives and to become active and engaged members of society.
