Reducing Worklessness

In 2000, 16 residents in every 100 in the Aylesbury area were out of work. That number has now dropped to 11, with research showing that less people feel that it is their lack of skills that is holding them back.

Creation's aim is not only to get people into jobs, but also to help people get into well paid jobs with real prospects. We will be enable residents to achieve their ambitions by equipping them with the right skills and confidence.

Creation is helping people getting into work by providing more training opportunities, helping people to access advice and guidance about finding work. We are also working to encourage local employers to employer local people.

We fund the Aylesbury Learning Centre to help residents find work or start up their own business. We also work closely with other organisations such as Elephant Jobs and Southwark Works.
