Young Peoples Programme: Summer! 2010

There's loads of things for young people to do during the summer holidays on the Aylesbury this year. A booklet providing the full programme of activities is hot off the press! Information on activities for families this summer is also available as part of Wonderful Walworth.

Organisations working on the Aylesbury estate have continued to share information and have co-ordinated their planning and delivery of activities to make sure that young people get the best possible programme for the summer. The co-ordination of young people's activities happens through the Young People's Practitioners Group which was started by the NDC and now continues to thrive independently, managed by Inspire.

The programme includes a whole range of activities from football and basketball to drama, music studio sessions, a family fun day, street and hip hop dance sessions. See the attached programme for further details. Programmes are also available at your nearest youth club.

Wonderful Walworth runs from July 24th to August 5th, and activities on offer include Creative Garden design for beginners, drop-in play activities including specifically for fathers and male carers, and a picnic.

The Creation Trust is the successor organisation to the Aylesbury NDC.

Creation works as an advocate for tenants and residents by promoting a better working and living environment, healthier lifestyles and increasing opportunities for all.

The Trust also works to develop dynamic partnerships between communities, local and central government and businesses during Aylesbury's regeneration.
