Home from Home Exhibition, and Collecting Home artist residency project

Home from Home is an exhibition of photographs and stories by Eva Sajovic and Sarah Butler, which presents a snapshot of the Elephant and Castle at the beginning of the 21st century. From the heart of the shopping centre, to the spaces tucked beneath the railway arches, to the Heygate estate, Home from Home celebrates the rich diversity of the area, and unearths the stories and memories of those who have made the Elephant their home. The exhibition is showing at the Cuming Museum, 151 Walworth Road (next to the library), until 18th February: 10am-5pm Tuesday-Saturday.

Eva and Sarah have been in residence at the museum throughout the exhibition period. They have continued collecting local stories, this time through objects treasured by local people. The project has been documented online: www.collectinghome.wordpress.com, and there is a continually changing exhibition of local and museum objects at the Cuming museum until 18th February.
