History of Creation
The Creation Trust, is the successor organisation to the Aylesbury New Deal for Communities (NDC). The NDCs were a regeneration programme set up in the UK’s most deprived neighbourhoods. The programme was established by Tony Blair's Government in 1998. In all, there were 39 partnerships set up across the UK, including one for the Aylesbury Estate.
The Aylesbury NDC ended in 2010 after ten years of work, setting up Creation Trust as its successor organisation. The NDC is credited with having had a significant impact on reducing crime rates in the area, and on improvements in educational achievement. They also funded new infrastructure projects and local activities. To read more about the Aylesbury NDC and the regeneration of the area in general, click here.
