Hard Hats at the Ready

Creation's Board of trustees have just been to visit the first development site of the Aylesbury regeneration, to see the progress being made.
The huge site between Albany and Westmorland Road is currently being prepared for demolition, to make way for the new development, which includes 830 new homes, including 304 Target Rent homes, 102 Shared Ownership homes, 424 Private homes, 50 extra care, 7 homes for adults with learning disabilities, a community facility and a new public open space.
There are still some leaseholders living on this site and the Council, with the support of Creation Trust, are working to find satisfactory arrangements for those remaining leaseholders.
Vice Chair of Creation Board and Aylesbury resident Jean Bartlett said: “It is so great to see something finally happening. We have fought a long time to get decent homes for people on this estate. Seeing the progress is really exciting.”
