Communicating with Residents
Communicating with residents in ways that are relevant, timely and useful is absolutely essential for Creation to achieve its aims and objects.
Creation works with other organisations to make sure that there is a co-ordinated approach to inform residents about relevant issues and opportunities.
Creation is also very aware of the importance of reaching out to the most ‘vulnerable, at risk or isolated residents’ and being sensitive to issues that maybe preventing someone from accessing the support and opportunities available.
Creation's Communication Objectives are therefore
-To raise awareness of the opportunities available
- To provide current and timely information about the latest regeneration plans in the most easily accessible ways for residents to understand.
-Increase participation in training and other opportunities
-To broaden the diversity of the people who participate in the activities
-To develop an effective network with the partners so that information is shared.
How we Communicate with residents

Aylesbury Echo
This is our magazine for residents. It contains issues and stories that are relevant to residents, as well as having extensive listings of events and training opportunities that are happening locally. It is published four times a year and is delivered directly to the every home on the estate. Over 74% of residents said that they read the magazine.

Social Media
Statistics for the estate show that an increasingly large number of residents are now online and regularly use social media, Creation is using this as an opportunity to engage with residents. Our Twitter account @creationSE17 is particularly useful for being able to respond quickly and get information to a broad cross-section of the community.

FACE to FACE
Nothing beats speaking to people to understand exactly what people want and their priorities and concerns. Creation Trust organises regularly community events and opportunities for local people. We also ensure that we attend meetings with tennants and an ongoing outreach programme.
We constantly update our website to list opportunities and to co-ordinate and centralise some of the activities that happening locally.

E-bulletin
Creation Trust is building up a good database of contacts from the estate and we are working on a montly e-bulletin that will keep residents regularly up to date about events that are going on.
