Block Champions Take to the Streets

Creation Trust has just employed local residents to be our very first Block Champions. Block Champions will help keep residents informed about what’s going on in the local area. They are also finding out from residents their ideas for the estate and improvements they would like to see.

So far we have 8 block champions from across the estate. Each person came to a training day where we talked about how to get messages to residents, confidentiality and safety issues.

Our fantastic team of eight has just completed their first job, a questionnaire with residents. There was a great response and residents seemed to really open up to the Block Champions, because they knew that they too live on the estate.

Creation Trust will now go through the questionnaires to help with our planning and make sure that we are funding the sort of services that residents really want.
