Creation
The Creation Community Development Trust is the successor organisation responsible for the management and delivery of the New Deal for Communities (NDC) regeneration programme. NDC funding is provided by the central government over 10 years to 39 of the most deprived neighbourhoods in England and Wales.
When the Aylesbury NDC was set up in 1999 it's aim was to change the lives of the residents living in the area - to improve educational attainment, employment prospects and health and to reduce crime and fear of crime. Most importantly the NDC sought to dramatically improve the physical environment of the area.
The Aylesbury NDC has been supporting residents in the local area over the last seven years, funding a number of projects that have resulted in substantial improvements to people's lives.
Creation will ensure that there is a strong voice speaking on behalf of all residents well into the future and right at the heart of the decision-making process. Through Creation the improvement that the Aylesbury NDC has achieved will be safeguarded and residents' aspirations for the future will be strengthened.
The redevelopment of the Aylesbury Estate will create of a new neighbourhood which is set to radically change the lives of everyone who calls this area of south east London, home.
A great deal of progress already having been made and exciting plans are in place for the future.
You will still find references to Aylesbury NDC throughout this site when information relates the years between 1999 to 2007.
